▌Postoperative care

  1. After the operation, you need to apply ice immediately through gauze, at least four times a day, for about 10-20 minutes each time, for a total of three days.
  2. After each ice application, please clean the wound with sterile cotton swabs and saline solution and apply a thin layer of ointment four times a day, and take oral medication on time.
  3. It is normal for the wound to ooze a little blood after surgery. If you experience severe pain or heavy bleeding, please return to the doctor immediately for examination.
  4. There will be bruises and swelling around the orbit after surgery. Please try to drink less water at night, lie down less, lower your head, and engage in strenuous activities to avoid hematoma caused by increased blood pressure or congestion of the eyelids.
  5. But you should open your eyes more to promote blood return and improve swelling.
  6. Avoid smoking, alcohol, coffee and spicy food after surgery. You can eat foods high in sodium.
  7. The wound will feel itchy before it heals, so do not rub it with your hands.
  8. Return for check-up on the third day after the operation. For double eyelid patients, the sutures will be removed after one week. After the sutures are removed, you can wash your face and touch water when you go home, but the wound is still in a fragile stage, so you must take care of it carefully and do not rub it hard.
  9. Please wait 2 to 3 weeks after surgery to wear contact lenses.
  10. Postoperative eyelid swelling is a normal process and will subside in about 1 to 2 weeks. The scar will be pink after the wound heals, and it will take 3 to 6 months to take care of it. Therefore, you must have enough patience to wait.
