SCD間歇式加壓系統

▌What is SCD intermittent pressurization system?

The KENDALL SCD compression system is designed to increase the risk of

venous blood flow in obese and morbidly obese patients, etc... to helpPrevent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.

▌What is deep venous thrombosis (DVT)?

Bedridden for a long timeorpatient after surgery, prone to thrombosis due to poor blood circulation in the legs.

Deep vein thrombosis does not show symptoms in the early stage and is easily ignored. However, in the future, it will cause leg soreness, swelling, redness, and vein dilation, or may lead to chronic venous insufficiency, ulcers and other chronic problems.

If not treated properly, the blood clots may break off and flow back to the lungs with blood circulation, causing pulmonary embolism. In severe cases, it may be fatal within minutes.

▌Symptoms of DVT and pulmonary embolism

  • Calf pain (twitching and tight feeling)
  • Lower limb edema
  • Redness, swelling or inflammation in the legs
  • shortness of breath
  • Detecting blood in the sputum when coughing
  • Chest pain or discomfort

▌DVT high-risk groups

  • Aged over 40 years old
  • Staying in bed, standing or sitting for long periods of time
  • Undergoing surgery, orthopedics, etc. that takes more than 45 minutes
  • Pregnancy or oral contraceptives, artificial reproduction, tocolysis
  • Have cardiovascular disease
  • Cancer and receiving chemotherapy
  • Abnormal coagulation function
  • Stroke
  • Paralysis of lower limbs
  • overweight
  • Varicose veins

If you have the above risk factors, please consult your doctor or caregiver.

▌GCS gradient compression stockings IPC intermittent gas compression

Gradient compression stockings and gas compression pumps will apply appropriate pressure to the legs and reduce the circumference of the leg veins, soPromote venous return,Reduce blood poolingand furthervaricose veins, thus reducing the risk of thrombosis.

▌Leg vein compression system

Continuous Gradient Compression

The inflatable sleeve is used to progressively compress from the ankle to the calf to the thigh to promote the flow of blood back toward the heart.

Personalized compression cycle time

Automatic venous blood return detection and automatic adjustment of pressurization cycle time.

Breathable and comfortable, easy to put on and take off

The inflatable sleeve is glued with Velcro felt and the knees are designed to be bent.
